  • Test tubes & test tube holder
  • Bunsen burner
  • Spatula
  • Chemicals: Iron filings, Copper sulfate solution, Zinc granules, Lead nitrate, Potassium iodide, Ferrous sulfate crystals

Procedure

  1. Combination: Heat iron filings in air โ†’ iron oxide forms.
  2. Decomposition: Heat ferrous sulfate crystals โ†’ colour change from green to brown.
  3. Displacement: Add zinc granules to copper sulfate solution โ†’ solution turns colourless.
  4. Double Displacement: Mix lead nitrate + potassium iodide โ†’ yellow precipitate of PbIโ‚‚.
